Thermal Reject Unit (TRU)
The thermal reject unit is used to automatically blacken documents after they leave the drum and as they
are transported to the reject tray. The thermal reject unit is located between the printer drum and reject
tray and consists of a thermal array, mechanical guidance system components (rolls, etc.), a DC motor
and 2 sensors, which control the entry and exit of paper from the thermal reject unit. The thermal reject
unit has an own controller, which navigates the transport of paper into the reject tray and the density
control of the paper.
