Heating and Ventilation
The cabin heat and defrost system, directs ram air through the coolant radiator and the
exhaust heat shroud into the cabin heat valve. The warm air is then directed to the window
defrosting vents and to the cabin floor as selected by the Floor/Defrost lever. The cabin
heat selector, located in the center console, is used to regulate the flow of heated air.
Lever down = cabin heat FULL ON
The Floor/Defrost lever directs the heated air to the defrost and floor vents.
Lever down = all cabin heat to Floor
Cabin Air
The air inlet for the ventilation system is located on the fuselage shell next to the pilots
and copilots feet. The air is distributed to the cabin via 2 nozzles (2 on the instrument
panel LH/RH side. The jet direction of each cone can be changed easily and the jet
intensity can be regulated by rotation of the nozzle. The two sliding windows in the canopy
can be opened for additional ventilation.
Safety Hammer
A safety hammer is installed in the baggage compartment behind the co-pilot’s seat.
If the canopy can not be opened in case of an emergency use the safety hammer to break
through the canopy glass.

Make sure not to harm other persons by using the safety
hammer.

Beware of sharp edges and fragments of the broken window.
