GPIO Expander
Due to the high GPIO demand in this reference design a GPIO expander was necessary. The
component used is the low power I2C controlled
FXL6408UMX
from Fairchild. It uses both power
rails of 1.8 V and 3.3 V while its power consumption remains very low at only 1.5
A (Sleep current).
