The optical smoke detector is self
powered and needs no special
adjustment. The detector is only
compatible with
TwinPass
®
CB950,
CB955 and CB995 base units.
If white smoke, containing visible
particles, is detected (e.g. from burning
carpet, wood or wallpaper) this will
trigger:
●
the integral alarm (95 dB) for
10 seconds,
●
the base unit siren and the alarm
sirens in fire alarm modulation for
5 minutes,
●
the telephone transmitter.
After first detecting smoke, the detector
waits for 5 minutes.
After the 5 minutes, if smoke remains
in the detector head, the detector will
trigger another alert.
As this smoke detector does not
contain any radioactive component,
there are no regulations to be
followed when it is eventually
discarded.

Smoke detectors cannot detect fires
that break out in a place where the
smoke cannot reach the detector.
●
Smoke detectors may not detect a
fire that has broken out on a different
floor of the house.
●
Smoke detectors should never be
used for longer than 10 years.

This smoke detector is designed for
use
in a private residence only

●
Never use a naked flame to test the
smoke detector.
●
If the detector emits a loud
continuous sound when you have not
pressed the test button, this means it
has detected smoke or the presence of
burning particles in the air.
