OPERATION OF THE STANDARD PLATFORM

9.3 through 9.5 above explain how each of the functions OPEN - LOWER - LIFT - CLOSE are activated via the various types of
controls. This section explains in which sequence the DH-LSP must be operated, and which steps must sbe followed.
Consult the operation manual before
getting started. Follow
ALL
safety and
operation instructions.
Switch on the electrical power to the tail
lift (cabin switch or main battery
disconnect switch mounted near the
drivers seat, or both if both are available).
The tail lift is ready for use.
Observe all safety instructions, and open
the platform lock by turning it and pulling
it backwards.
OPEN the platform, and adjust its pitch to
the slope of the ground. DO NOT
LOWER before the horizontal work
position has been reached.
Adjust the platform pitch to compensate
for the slope of the ground [see 9.1 page
29] and platform deflection under load
[see 9.2 page 30]
Opening the platform
LOWER the platform half-way to the
ground.
Open the doors of the van and secure them
in open position.
Manually deploy the bridge plate.
