The Serial ATA connector is used to connect the Serial ATA device. Connect one end of the Se-

rial ATA data cable to a SATA connector on the system board and the other end to your Serial 

ATA device. 

The power cable must be connected from the system board’s Serial ATA power connector to 

the SATA drive’s power connector in order to provide power to the drive.

BIOS Setting

Configure the Serial ATA drives in the Integrated Peripherals submenu (“OnChip IDE Device” 

section) of the BIOS. Refer to chapter 6 for more information.
