Quality Control
Performance of reader result should be confirmed by testing known
negative and positive specimen or controls whenever a new bottle is first
opened or for calibration.
Water should NOT be used as a negative
control.
Controls should be tested after performing maintenance or service on the
reader. Quality Control materials should be used in accordance with local,
state, and/or federal guidelines.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance

Maintenance
No maintenance is required other than routine cleaning.
•
Clean the outside of the DUS R-50S body with a dry towel after wiping
clean with a towel dampened by a neutral detergent or water.
•
Do not wipe the body of the DUS R-50S clean with benzene, thinner,
gasoline, etc.
•
Do not force the Strip Loading Plate
. It works automatically. Refer to
How to Clean the Strip Loading Plate after use of the user’s manual.
•
