card is a small removable mass storage device

designed with flash technology - a non-volatile storage solution that
does not require a batter y to retain data indefinitely. The
CompactFlash

technology is widely used in products such as port-

able and desktop computers, digital cameras, handheld data collec-
tion scanners, PDAs, Pocket PCs, handy terminals and personal com-
municators.
