INTENDED USE
Your DC515 cordless vacuum cleaner has been
designed to vacuum dry and wet substances in
professional applications.
DO NOT
use under wet conditions or in presence of
flammable liquids or gases.
This vacuum cleaner is a professional power tool.
DO NOT
let children come into contact with the tool.
Supervision is required when inexperienced operators
use this tool.
Electrical safety
The electric motor has been designed for one
voltage only. Always check that the battery pack
voltage corresponds to the voltage on the rating
plate.
ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENTS
WARNING:
Prior to assembly and
adjustment, always remove the battery
pack. Always switch off the tool before
inserting or removing the battery pack.

Battery type
The tool will operate on battery packs of 18 volts.
Refer to the table in the back for a selection of
applicable battery packs.

Inserting and removing the battery pack
• Insert the battery pack (6) into the tool until it
clicks in place.
• To remove the battery pack, press the two
release buttons (7) simultaneously and pull the
pack out of the tool.
Battery pack condition
• Make sure your battery pack is (fully) charged.
If the battery pack does not produce suffi cient
power, charge the battery pack following the
instructions in the manual of the charger.
Removing and refi tting the hose (fi g. C)
Removing
• Take the hose nozzle (9) out of the fi tting (10).
• Turn the connecting piece (8) counterclockwise.
• Pull the hose off the vacuum inlet (4) at the
connecting piece.
Refi tting
• Insert the connecting piece (8) into the vacuum
inlet (4).
• Turn the connecting piece clockwise to fi x the
hose in position.
• Insert the hose nozzle (9) into the fi tting (10).

Vacuuming (fi g. A)
• Empty and clean the tank (5) before use.
• Ensure the hose (2) is mounted correctly.
• Move the nozzle (3) over the surface to be
cleaned. If necessary, the hose (2) can be
operated for confi ned spaces.
