OPERATION
The float switch turns the pump on automatically
when the water level exceeds the cut in height
and the water is pumped out.
The float switch turns the pump off again as soon
as the water level falls below the cut- out height.
1. Stand the pump on a firm surface or use a rope
attached through the handle.
2. Ensure that the float switch can move freely.
3. Plug the power cable into a mains socket.
4. Push the cable of the float switch into the float
switch lock Do not select a cable length that
is too long or short to ensure that the float
switch can turn on and off properly. The
cable length between the float switch and the
float switch lock must always be at least 10 cm.
The shorter the length of cable between the
float switch and the float switch lock, the lower
the cut-in height and the higher the cut-out
height. Starting and stopping of the pump
depends on the water level for which the float
switch floats.
Warning:
In order to protect the pump from
running empty, please always keep the pump
upright and the float switch is not jammed in mud
or obstructed by other objects.
Check before entry into service:
• Look to see if there is any damage to the pump
(especially to the power cable and plug).
• The height of the point of switching “on” and
“off” should be easy to achieve.
• Check the operation in a barrel filled with water.
Immerse the pump into water and then slightly
lift and put down the float switch. The pump
starts and stops.
• The float switch should not touch the bottom
before the pump cut off, or there will be a risk
of running empty.
