Warnings
This product is intended only for use by trained dental pro-
fessionals. Read the operating instructions carefully prior to
start-up of the Contra-Angle handpiece and keep for future
reference.
Observe all safety information and warnings, including the
following:
•
The Contra-Angle must be sterilized prior to first use.
•
The Contra-Angle handpiece should be sterilized after
each patient to prevent any transmission of infective agents
such as e.g. HIV (the AIDS virus) or hepatitis B which might
cause serious illnesses or even lead to death.
•
Suitable hygienic measures must be taken to prevent cross
contamination among patients, users and other persons.
•
Use the Contra-Angle handpiece only when the endodontic
instrument is clamped securely in place. Do not pull the
endodontic instrument out of the Contra-Angle handpiece
head. A loose or partially removed endodontic instrument
could detach itself from the head or break off and cause in-
juries.
•
After sterilization:
Immediately remove the Contra-Angle handpiece from the
steam sterilizer.
•
Sterilize again once the storage period has elapsed accord-
ing to the manufacturer of the sterilization container.
•
Prior to each use
, test whether the fitted instrument is firm-
ly seated by pulling and turning it.
