SURROUND MODES AND PARAMETERS

This unit is equipped with a digital signal processing circuit that lets you play program sources in the sound mode to achi

eve the same sense of presence as in a movie theater.

Sound modes and surround parameters

This table shows the speakers that can be used in each sound mode and the surround parameters adjustable in each sound mode.

During playback in PURE DIRECT mode, the surround parameters are the same as in DIRECT mode.

This item can be selected when a Dolby TrueHD signal is played.

This item can be selected when a Dolby Digital or DTS signal is played.

This item can be selected when a Dolby Digital or DTS signal or DVD-Audio is played.

Only when “Subwoofer Mode” is set to “LFE+Main”, sound is output from the subwoofer.

A signal for each channel contained in an input signal is output as audio.

Audio is output from the front height speaker when the set sound mode name contains “+PL

z”. For information on how to check the sound mode.

This setting is unavailable when the set sound mode name contains “+PL

x Music”. For information on how to check the sound mode.

This setting is possible when the sound mode is “PL

x Cinema” or “DTS NEO:6 Cinema”.
