DELTA WATER ENGINEERING
V01/2017/P3
2.
Precautions:
2.1
General:
Make sure you have the latest installation manual at hand. Check with your
Delta supplier.
Read this manual carefully. If you have any questions or remarks, please
contact your Delta supplier.
Make sure you have all necessary tools on hand before you begin with the
installation.
Follow all local legal regulations.
2.2
Water to be treated:
Check incoming pressure: minimum 1 bar (dynamic), maximum 8 bar
(static) (15 PSI- 116 PSI). If necessary reduce incoming pressure.
The pressure behind the softener must be at least 1bar to ensure a good
functioning of the softener. If this pressure of at least 1bar can’t be
guaranteed, a “Pressure Guard” is available at your Delta supplier.
The water should be free of sediment, chlorine, iron and manganese.
2.3
Softener:
The softener has to be installed on a flat, stable base.
The softener must be installed indoors, protected from direct sunlight.
The softener must be installed on a dry location and certainly not in an
acidic environment.
Do not install the Delta Softener close to a heating source (environment
temperature must be below 40°C).
Protect softener and drain (12) against frost.
The Delta Bypass is not designed to be left behind without the softener. It is
not a shutoff valve.
The provided overflow has to be installed and connected at all times.
