Expansion Cards 

Dell™ Vostro™ 430 Service Manual

 

Removing an Expansion Card 

 

1.

Follow the procedures in 

Before Working Inside Your Computer

.  

2.

Remove the 

Cover

.  

3.

Disconnect any cables that may be connected to the card.  

4.

Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the screw and metal tab that secure the expansion card to the chassis. 

 

5.

To remove a 

PCI-Express x16 video card

, press the securing tab on the system board connector as you grasp the card by its top corners, and then ease 

the card out of the connector.
