Removing the Processor Heat Sink and Fan Assembly 

 

1.

Follow the procedures in 

Before Working Inside Your Computer

.  

2.

Remove the 

Cover

.  

3.

Disconnect the processor heat sink and fan assembly cable from the system board. 

 

4.

Using a Phillips head screwdriver, loosen the four captive screws that secure the processor heat sink and fan assembly to the system board.
