Switch Management Commands

exit
Use the exit command to go to the next lower command mode or, in User
Exec mode, to close an active terminal session by logging off the switch.
Syntax
exit
Default Configuration
This command has no default configuration.
Command Mode
All command modes. In User Exec mode, this command behaves identically
to the quit command.
User Guidelines
There are no user guidelines for this command.
Example
The following example changes the configuration mode from Interface
Configuration mode to User Exec mode to the login prompt.
console(config-if-Gi1/0/1)# exit
console(config)# exit
console#exit
console>exit
User:
quit
