Removing the Optical Drive
1.
Follow the procedures in
Before Working Inside Your Computer
.
2.
Remove the
battery
from the computer.
3.
Remove the optical drive retention screw from the computer.
4.
Insert a plastic screwdriver into the retention screw slot, and carefully disengage and remove the optical drive from the computer.
