4. Operation Instructions
Oven operation
The gas oven is operated by the gas oven control
knob. In off position (top) the gas supply is Off.
Switching on the gas oven
The gas oven is ignited with the ignition button.
•
Open oven door.
•
Keep gas oven control knob pressed and turn it
counterclockwise.
•
Press ignition button and release it again.
•
Keep the gas oven control knob pressed for 3 to
5 seconds.
•
Repeat the process until the emanating gas is
ignited.
•
Keep the gas oven control knob pressed for
another 3 to 5 seconds. Be sure that gas has
ignited and flame is present.
•
Select the desired baking power/ gas mark.
•
If there is no electricity; ignite the gas with the
gas lighter from the ignition control hole.
Switching off the gas oven
•
Turn gas oven control knob to off position (top).
Baking / Roasting
Set the oven thermostat to the desired
temperature.
Place the food in the oven on the middle shelf
where possible.
Gas grill operation
The gas grill is operated by the gas oven control
knob. In off position (top) the gas supply is Off.
Switching on the gas grill
The gas grill is ignited with the ignition button.
•
Grilling is to be conducted with the oven door
closed.
•
Keep gas oven control knob pressed and turn
it clockwise.
•
Press ignition button and release it again.
•
Keep the gas oven control knob pressed for 3
to 5 seconds.
•
Repeat the process until the emanating gas is
ignited.
•
Keep the gas grill control knob pressed for
another 3 to 5 seconds. Be sure that gas has
ignited and flame is present.
•
Select the desired grill power/ gas mark.
•
If there is no electricity; ignite the gas with the
gas lighter from the ignition control hole.
Switching off the gas grill
•
Turn gas grill control knob to off position (top).
Grilling
Both the wire shelf and roast pan may be used
for grilling. If you are grilling on the wire shelf, use
the baking tray on the lower rack as a drip tray.
Position the shelf in the desired position below
the grill element. Set the oven thermostat to it’s
respective grill position.
Preheat the grill element for about 5 minutes.
Place the food in the center of the shelf and
monitor the grilling to avoid burning the food.
DANGER:
There is the risk of gas
compression and explosion! Do not
attempt to ignite the gas more that
15 seconds. If the burner is not
ignited within 15 seconds, turn off
the knob and wait for 1 minute.
Ventilate the room before
reattempting to ignite the burner.
