DEFA Home Motion Detector is a wireless and battery powered accessory for Base Unit DIY or
Base Unit PRO with Radio Module, which detects motion and notify you if the motion alarm is
triggered. The front of the Motion Detector must be placed towards the area you wish to
monitor. It also has a pairing button for connecting wirelessly to the Base Unit.
Connect your Motion Detector to the Base Unit by following these steps:
Open the battery cover on your Motion Detector by pressing the indicated points with
your index finger and thumb - and remove the cover.
Insert the included batteries. Observe the markings for + and - inside the battery
compartment. Reattach the battery cover.
Set your Base Unit to pairing mode by pressing the pairing button ( ) on the front of
Base Unit or Radio Module. Use a pointed object to press the button. When pairing to
a Base Unit you’ll hear a beep every second for max 60 seconds. When connecting to
a Radio Module, the indicator light on Radio Module will flash blue for 60 seconds.
Press the pairing button ( ) on the back of the Motion Detector. If connecting to a
Base Unit, a short beep will sound when registration is successful. If connecting to a
Radio Module the Radio Modules indicator light stops flashing. The Motion Detectors
indicator light will repeatedly flash blue and red until the pairing has completed.
The Motion Detector has a built in cool-down feature. The detector will not send a new alarm
until there has been no movement registered for 10 minutes.
