In addi?on to the above men?oned choices for input tubes there are
also some alternates for the remaining tubes.

Rec?ﬁer Tube Alternates:  5U4G,  5AR4, 5Y3GT, some 274B’s, a 1940’s
Globe 80 (with adaptor).  The ampliﬁer draws less than 50 miliamps
from the rec?ﬁer tube so there are likely several more pin for pin
compa?ble op?ons that are not listed here.

1)

Turn the volume control on the ampliﬁer all the way down.

2)

Turn on the upstream components ﬁrst, such as your source and
preamp if you’re using one.

3)

Turn on the power ampliﬁer and wait 60 seconds for it to warm up
and then slowly raise the volume control.
