3.17 Correction of time
The video modem has built-in timer/real time clock. Time reading disrupts in case of power supply
failure. To view and correct the video modem time choose ―Correction of time‖ command from ―Coder‖
menu of the main window
. The dialog box ―Correction of time‖, containing the video modem time, your
PC time and difference between the both, will appear on the screen.
In order the video modem time and your PC time to coincide, press ―Correct‖ button. If computer clock
does not match the real time, enter adj
ustment and press ―Adjust‖ button. To switch to the basic mode,
press ―Close‖ button.
3.18 Change of password
To change the password for access to the video modem choose ―Password change‖ command from
―Coder‖ menu (see Fig. 2). Enter a new password, then enter it once again to confirm. Press ―Change‖
button. Now your password is changed.
ATTENTION! It is strongly recommended to write the set password and keep it in a safe place
.
If you loose the password, you will need to reboot the video modem and all the settings will be
lost!
3.19 Updating software releases for the video modem:
It is possible to extend functionality of the video modem by updating software as new releases are
ready.
Load from the diskette or download from the site
release of the program. Establish connection with the coder according to p. 3.4.
To update the firmware choose ―Firmware update‖ command from ―Coder‖ menu (Fig. 2). Press
―Update‖ button.
Remember
, that the firmware update is potentially dangerous operation. Before starting, check and
make sure in stability of the video modem power supply.
ATTENTION!
After the firmware update, the password for access to the video modem, set by
you, may be automatically deleted. If you enter the old password and get the error message
“Wrong password”, connect again and press “OK” button without entering anything.
3.20 Completion of the work:
To disconnect from the video modem press
button (Fig. 2) or choose ―Disconnect‖ command from
―Connection‖ menu, then choose ―Exit‖. The connection data are saved in memory of your PC.
To delete all the connection data (including, video recordings) after ―Disconnect‖ command choose
―Delete connection‖ command from ―File‖ menu. Then choose ―Exit‖ command from ―File‖ menu.
3.21 The video modem reset:
In order to delete the password and in case of situation when, by odd reasons, it is impossible to
establish connection with the video modem, it is possible to revert to the factory defaults.
At the bottom of the case there is an opening with reset button underneath. Connect the video modem
to power mains. Using small sharp object (for example, fountain-pen) briefly, no longer 1 s, press this
button through the opening. At the moment of pressing this button the indicator, located at the top
cover of the video modem, will flash shortly, and then will light dimly. Wait, until the indicator goes on
in bright and steady light, then disconnect power supply, wait, at least, for 5 seconds then connect
power mains again. After successful reset, the indicator of the video modem will flash brightly 10
times, and then it will switch to the waiting mode: one bright flash
— pause.
ATTENTION! After the video modem reset the access password, set by you,
will be deleted.
When connecting, do not enter anything in the password textbox, press “OK” button instead.
