these to hand before beginning.
STAGE 61: BUILD
UP ROBI’S HEAD
Add two servo horns to the head servos fitted over the
previous stages, then combine these with the base that will
hold the electronic components enclosed in Robi’s head.
The two servo horns supplied in this
stage link up with the head base, using
the rotation of the head servos’ shafts
to angle it forward and back (via the
head lever, in the case of the right-
hand servo, ID=15) and side to side
(using the long screw and elongated
hole in the horn, in the case of servo
ID=14). Two of the screws are
‘stepped’, meaning they have a
section of unthreaded shaft that
enables the joints they are used for
to pivot freely – because of this,
they must not be overtightened.
