Tap hose with clip
Use
Fill the pan with water and place it on the
hotplate.
Place the juice section on top and check
that the tap hose is fi tted to the pipe and
that the clip is fi tted.
Place the berry section on top of the juice
section and fi ll it with clean berries or fruit.
Place the lid on the pan.
Adjust the temperature of the hotplate so
that the water heats gently throughout the
process. Make sure there is always water in
the pan.
Once the water has been boiling for around
half an hour, approximately one litre of
juice can be drained into a jug. This can
then be poured back into the berry section.
Distribute the sugar evenly over the berries.
The warm juice softens the berries and
dissolves the sugar.
Drain off the juice and pour it into clean,
sterilised bottles.
Always clean the juice steamer after
use. Hard water may cause a build-up of
limescale in the pan. For that reason, always
wipe the pan with half a lemon or boil a
vinegar solution in the pan (10 ml ordinary
vinegar per 1 litre water).
Wipe the pan down.
