Chapter 6: Power Amplifier Board

6.1

Circuit Description

The Power Amplifier (PA) board amplifies the low level (+3 dBm) transmitter
signal from the Mixer board to a RF power level of 20W. Apart from the
predriver, the PA board operates in class AB to minimize current drain. The
following sections discuss the components of the block diagram in Figure 6-1
below.
