RECOMMENDED NETWORK SWITCHES
Arqa’s visually lossless video quality transmission requires a bandwidth of up to 900 Mb/s per port of the network
switch.
It is HIGHLY recommend that users create a dedicated video distribution network for Arqa devices with its own
network switch. Users should not attempt to connect other devices into the same network as this may cause
unpredictable traffic issues.
Having other devices connected to the Arqa video distribution network is not a Datapath supported configuration,
since it will likely result in non-deterministic behaviour.
Although the following switches are tested, other switches should work as long as they meet the following
requirements:
1 Gb switch, with true non-blocking transfer rates of 1Gb/s on each port.
IGMP Snooping must be enabled (v2 or higher).
IGMP Fast-leave enabled.
