The Datacard MPR5000 system converts blank plastic cards into high-quality
smart cards quickly and reliably. It provides everything you need for fast and
efficient smart card production, executing every step of the production process
— from card cavity milling and chip embedding to punching for GSM SIM
cards and chip testing. This highly reliable system produces both contact and
optional dual-interface smart cards to meet a variety of requirements. Smart
card personalization is fast and convenient, too. The system is compatible with
the Datacard
®
Smart Card Personalization Manager (SCPM), which makes the
process productive and secure.
A FULL RANGE OF CARD PERSONALIZATION CAPABILITIES
After it produces smart cards, the MPR5000 system automatically transfers
them to inline personalization modules. A patented barrel design features up
to 48 smart card encoding heads, enabling you to maintain exceptional system
throughput even with chip encoding times of 40 seconds or longer. Other
personalization features, such as thermal transfer and inkjet printing, offer
superb throughput and quality. You can also use the laser engraving module
to add photos, text, bar codes, fingerprints, micro text, signatures and other
graphics to create personalized photo ID cards.

The MPR5000 system offers a modular design. You can add new card
