Connecting Directly to the Host Computer
Generally, host computers have two USB ports. These ports are
completely independent. To connect a DT9835 function module
directly to a USB port of the computer, perform the following steps:
1. Attach one end of the EP310 cable, which is shipped with the
DT9835 function module, to the USB port on the module.
2. Attach the other end of the EP310 cable to one of the USB ports
on the host computer, as shown in
Figure 2 .
The operating system automatically detects the USB device.

3. If the DT9835 Device Driver has not been installed, the New
Hardware Found wizard appears. Click Next to have the wizard
search for the DT9835 Device Driver, then proceed to step 4.
4. Click Search for the best driver for your device, then click Next.
5. Select Specify a location, enter D:\DT9800 Drivers as the path
from which to copy files (where D is the letter of your CD-ROM
drive), then click Next.
6. Click Next.
