FLASH LAMP COIL TESTS __________________________________________
Twenty-Two regular (pulsed under mlcroprocessor control) coll drlvers are provided to swltch ground to colls.
Thè Left/Right relay is used inconjunctionwithdrives 1 through8toswitch +32 voltsbetween coils or flash lamps;
these sets are termed "left" and "right". Thls relay Is locateci on thè PPB board which provldes Isolatlon dlodes and
current limitlng reslstors. Thls effectlvely provldes 29 regular coils.
From thè Single Lamp test, depress thè STEP push-button swltch. All Flash lamps will fire randomly. Thls allows
thè Technlcian to easily spot any burned out bulbs and replace them without steplng through thè tests below.
Automatic Test
From thè Flash Lamps test, depress thè STEP push-button switch. Player 1 and 2 displays Indicate ALL COILS.
Thè test pulses each regular solenold or flash lamp sequentially wlth thè coil/flash lamp name Indlcated In thè Player
1 and 2 displays and thè wire colors In thè Player 3 and 4 displays.
Select Coll
From thè Coll Test, depress thè STEP push-button switch. Player 1 and 2 displays indicate SELECT COIL and then
thè name of 1 st drive, thè wire colors are Indlcated In thè Player 3 and 4 displays. Operate either Flipper push-button
swltch to select thè coll or flash lamp to be tested. Wlth thè desired drive number indlcated In thè Player 4 display,
depress thè START push-button swltch to cause it to be pulsed repeatedly.
RETURN TO GAME OVER
From thè Select Coil test, depress thè STEP push-button switch once. Thè game returns to thè game-over mode.
