Positioning the foot into the splinting system:
1. Open the hook and loop fastener straps at the front in the toe area underneath the splint.
Remove the two heel wedges from the wedge pocket.
2. Enter the foot into the splinting system with the knee bended in order to realize the angle of
maximum dorsiflexion.
3. Fix the strap across the instep with the hook and loop fastener strap in order to optimize the
position of the heel.
4. Stretch the knee in order to check the fitting of the strap across the instep (If the heel is slipping
inside the splint the strap is too loose, if the calf is squeezed in, the strap is too tight. Readjust
and check again).
5. After checking the correct fit of the strap across the instep, the other two hook and loop fastener
straps can be closed across ankle and shinbone in order to ensure a secure and comfortable fit.
Inserting the heel wedges into the splinting system:
1. Insert the heel wedges only under supervision of a physician or healthcare specialist.
2. With the foot in the splint open the strap located underneath the splint and initially insert one
wedge thin end first.
3. Try and test this stabilizing orthosis for one hour. In case of skin irritation, changes in color or
increased pain discontinue use and contact your physician or healthcare specialist immediately.
4. If during the night no pain or discomfort occurs and your medical healthcare specialist agrees,
the second wedge may be inserted the same way as the other.
Maintenance
The product does not require maintenance.
Cleaning instructions
1. Remove the heel wedges.
2. Open the hook and loop fastener straps in the heel area of the product.
3. Take out the plastic body by bending together the two shell parts.
4. For cleaning use mild detergents only. The liner is only to be hand washed and air dried.

dling / cleaning. The medical device is designed to be used for the duration of use prescribed by a
doctor without showing a reduction in safety or performance. After the period of use prescribed by
