In the figure above, the digital output circuit is insulated by a port coupler. “OUT_POWER” and
“OUT_VDD” are commonly connected to the output circuit. “OUT_POWER” becomes external
power or 5V PCI or ISO 5V (DC-DC output power) inside the board according to the jumper
setting of connector J2. “OUT_VDD” is connected to the anode of the clamp diode for the
purpose of protecting the circuit in the board. In general, an external power supply of 5V can be
used.
