4. SERVICE AND CLEANING
4.1 Filter
The air intake filter should be checked and, if necessary, cleaned/renewed every 6 months. In very
dusty rooms it should be checked more often.
Pull the filter out of its frame. If it is only a little dirty, vacuum cleaning is sufficient. If it is very dirty it
should be washed in luke warm soapy water or perhaps renewed. Check the fan blade and vacuum-
clean it if necessary before pushing the entire filter back in place again.
4.2 Combustion chamber and heat exchanger
The heat exchanger and the burner chamber should be cleaned at least once a year, as soot
deposits may reduce the efficiency of the unit.
Combustion chamber and heat exchanger are cleaned in the following way (please see the figure
below):

Remove cover plates above the burner and on the left- or right-hand side.
¾ Remove the inspection cover (2) from the heat exchanger.
Warm air heaters must be checked at least once a
year by a specialist. We recommend you to take
out a service contract.
