Use
1. Turn all the control knobs to the OFF
position.
2. Open the lid before use.
3. Connect the regulator to the gas
bottle. Set the gas supply to ON on the
regulator. Use soapy water to check for
any gas leaks between the gas bottle
and the regulator.
4. Push the control knob in for 3-5 seconds
(A) and turn anticlockwise to the HI
position (B). A click will be heard and a
7-12 cm fl ame (D) will be emitted from
the ignition pipe (C) so that the burner
ignites. If this does not happen, repeat
the procedure 3 or 4 times. Hold the
knob pressed in for a few seconds once
the burner is lit.
5. If the burner still does not ignite, wait 5
minutes and repeat point 4.
6. Once the burner is lit, the burner at the
side can be lit by turning the control
knob to the HI position. Repeat this for
all the burners.
7. Regulate the heat by turning the knobs
to a position between HI and LO.
8. Allow the barbecue to heat up for 10-15
minutes before you start barbecuing.
9. Turn off the regulator to turn off the
barbecue. Then turn all the control
knobs on the appliance clockwise to the
OFF position.
N.B.! Light the side burner in the same way.
Light the rear burner by pressing the control
knob for the rear burner and turning it to
position HI. Hold it pressed for 5 seconds
and then press the ignition button on the
right of the front panel until the rear burner
is lit.
N.B.! The side burner is intended for
cookware with a fl at base and a diameter of
20-24 cm.
Caution:
If a burner cannot be lit, the
control knobs must be turned to OFF
(clockwise) and the regulator closed. Wait
fi ve minutes before you try to light it again
by following the ignition procedure.
Caution: Please be aware that parts of the
barbecue handle can get hot during use. Do
not touch the parts that are shaded in the
illustration below!
