The assembly process for the “Connection kit - cable to cold lead + end termination (Pipeheat)” is
divided into four processes. The first process covers the assembly process of the ready-making of
the heating cable. The second process covers assembly process of the ready-making of the cold tail.
The third process covers assembly process between the ready-making of the heating cable and cold
tail. The fourth process covers assembly process of the “Sealing the end of the heating cable” for
protection of the end cap.

- Outer Sheath removed
The outer sheath of the heating cable is
removed over a length of 30 mm.

The aluminum foil screen and drain
wires are released and twisted, to be
used as the ground connection of the
cable.

- Primary insulation removed
Remove 20 mm of the 30 mm insulation

- Conductor removed
Cut up the core material along one of the
two conductors and release and twist it. The
outermost of the 10 mm of the material is
removed from the other conductor.
