Installation Procedure

1.

Note: The gap between the Fence

Post and the Gate Frame must be

between

3

/

8

" (10mm) and 1

1

/

4

(31mm).  Determine the desired

location of the lock (i.e. Lock

Body) on the Gate Frame. If

required, use one of the Spacers

supplied (see matrix chart

below) to provide a neat finish of the

Latch Body against the Gate Frame.

Remove screws "D" (obscured), insert

spacer and replace screws "D".

2.

 (Always predrill metal using the

5

/

32

" (4mm) drillbit.) Using four of

the 1"x10g wafer-head, self-drilling

screws supplied [“A”], fix the Lock

Body onto the Gate Frame (see Fig 1.)

3.

The Lock Tail (located inside the

Lock Cover) and the slot in the Rotor

must both be horizontal to the ground

so that when assembling the Lock

Cover onto the Lock Body the Lock Tail

will slide into the corresponding slot in the Rotor. If the Lock Tail is not horizontal, use needle-nosed pliers and turn it 90˚ until it’s in the horizontal position.

If the slot in the Rotor is not horizontal, turn the Rotor 90˚ with your fingers until the slot is horizontal (see Fig. 2).

4.

Place the Lock Cover straight onto and directly over the Lock Body (not at an angle) ensuring that the “Lock Tail” bar (see Figure 2) is inserted horizontally

into the corresponding slot within the molded rotor.

Important:

Once the Latch Cover is firmly in place, carefully insert the two longest screws [“B”] at a 90˚

angle using a power drill…however, do not tighten fully with the power drill. Complete the insertion of the screws using a hand screwdriver.  DO NOT over-

tighten the screws. Check that the handles move freely and in unison.

5.

Take the Keeper and align it on the post so that it is centered on the Lock (Figure 1), as shown by the dashed line. Holding the Keeper in position, take the

three remaining 1"x10g wafer-head, self-drilling screws and fix it to the fence post. For best results, mount all these screws in the center of the adjustment slots.

6.

Using the hand screwdriver, insert it into the Adjustment Screw "C" (obscured) between the Keeper and its mounting bracket. Adjust the screw horizontally, as

required, so that the gate closes and locks smoothly. Note that the minimum gap between Keeper and Lock is desirable. The Keeper should be adjusted so that the

maximum gap is no greater than

3

/

8

(10mm) between the edge of the Keeper and the edge of the Lock Body.

Open and close the gate to check that the lock operates correctly. Adjust the Keeper as necessary at any time to ensure safe operation of the lock.

NOTE:

For future vertical adjustment of the Keeper, open gate and adjust Keeper horizontally to reveal the

screw on the fence post.  Loosen all three screws on the post and adjust Keeper to the desired vertical position.

Re-tighten all screws and re-adjust the Keeper horizontally so the

" maximum distance is achieved.

operations, or Maintenance Requirements. IN NO EVENT

SHALL THE COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR

CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. No warranty is given other

than that set out above. No other express or implied war-

ranties (including statutory warranties) apply, other than

warranties which may not be legally excluded.
