Verify that there is one index
pulse. Using an oscilloscope,
check pulse polarity on
connector C2. Pin 15 should
normally be low and go high
when it crosses over the index
pulse. Pin 16 should normally be
high and go low when it crosses
over the index pulse.
Check commutation by using the

Connection Verification Test.
Rewire pins 15 and 16 to
reverse the polarity of the pulse.
Follow corrective actions listed
in the verification test procedure.

The following procedure can be used to verify the connections between the
motor and hall effect. This procedure requires that an adapter be fabricated
prior to performing the verification test.
6.2.1.
ADAPTER AND WIRING
The purpose of the adapter is to provide a useful tool to allow you to monitor
the Hall effect signals during the test. The adapter consists of one 25-pin
male D connector and one 25-pin female D connector. The wiring for this
connector is shown in the next figure.
