8 Power Supply Modules
The devices of the DMX series can be equipped and operated with two redundant power
supply modules (hot-swap, hot-plug,) and operated. If a power supply module fails, the
second automatically takes over the complete power supply. The operation will continue
without interruption.
Proceed as described in the following to exchange a defective power supply module.
Note that the following descriptions are based on devices with redundant power supply
modules. They equally apply to devices with only one power supply module.
8.1
Identification
In the case of service the faulty power supply module must be identified first. Several op
-
tions are available for this case.
8.1.1
Display
The failure of a power supply module is displayed by the message
Housekeeping
error
on the front page of the device.
Note that the Housekeeping message error also can indicate to other errors.
