To remove the pinched pipes
WARNING
Any gas or oil remaining inside the stop valve may blow off
the pinched piping.
Failure to observe the instructions in procedure below
properly may result in property damage or personal injury,
which may be serious depending on the circumstances.
Use the following procedure to remove the pinched piping:

Remove the valve cover and make sure that the stop valves are
fully closed.

Connect the vacuuming/recovery unit through a manifold to the
service port of all stop valves.

Recover gas and oil from the pinched piping by using a
recovery unit.
CAUTION
Do not vent gases into the atmosphere.

When all gas and oil is recovered from the pinched piping,
disconnect the charge hose and close the service ports

Cut off the lower part of the gas and liquid stop valve pipes
along the black line. Use an appropriate tool (e.g. a pipe cutter,
a pair of nippers).
WARNING
Never remove the pinched piping by brazing.
Any gas or oil remaining inside the stop valve may blow off
the pinched piping.

Wait until all oil is dripped out before continuing with the
connection of the field piping in case the recovery was not
complete.
5.3.3
To connect the refrigerant piping to the
outdoor unit
NOTICE
Be sure that the field installed piping does not touch other
pipes, the bottom panel or side panel. Especially for the
bottom and side connection, be sure to protect the piping
with suitable insulation, to prevent it from coming into
contact with the casing.

Do the following:
▪ Remove the service cover. See
▪ Remove the piping intake plate (a) with screw (b).

Choose a piping route (a, b, c or d).

If you have chosen the downwards piping route:
▪ Drill (a, 4×) and remove the knockout hole (b).
▪ Cut out the slits (c) with a metal saw.
