Description
AC INPUT OVER CURRENT
Supposed Cause
1. Over current due to compressor failure.
2. Over current due to defective outdoor unit PCB.
3. Over current due to defective power transistor.
4. Over current due to short-circuit.
Troubleshooting
Any abnormal?
Compressor
faulty?
Yes
Measure the input current.
Change outdoor Control Box.
Check with the inverter checker.
Check outdoor fan motor,
outdoor ambient temperature,
refrigerant charge level
Turn off the power and
disconnect the harness U, V
and W.
No
Refer to the type of abnormality
and conduct proper service.
Yes
Change Compressor.
Input current
flowing above its
stop level?
Yes
No
Replace the outdoor unit
No
