CHARGING THE BATTERY
This cell phone is powered by a rechargeable Lithium battery
.
Lithium batteries are not subject to the so-called "memory-effect" (progressive
loss of energy efficiency if incorrectly charged); you can connect the phone to
the charger anytime, irrespective of the level of in the battery.
IMPORTANT WARNINGS
•Charge the unit only when the battery is installed
•Use only original Telit batteries and battery chargers.
How to charge the battery
• Connect the charger lead to the plug on the bottom of the phone assuring it
is completely inserted - the arrow on the charger connector should be on the
same side as the keypad; finally, plug the charger into a wall outlet.
•
If the level of the battery is too low, a small time lag may occur before
the recharge begins
; in case, wait a little bit longer.
• If the unit is turned off, the LED (light-emitting diode) in the upper right-hand
corner of the screen will light up;

: problems encountered while charging; unplug the
batterycharger from the wall outlet and from the phone, then retry. If the
problem persists, contact the nearer after-sales service.

• You can charge the battery while the phone is turned on; the operation will
take longer to complete.
• for the battery to charge properly, the temperature must be between 0°C
and +45°C.
PIM mode
If you turn ON the phone holding the
button down till the phone starts
vibrating, you will access the "
PIM MODE
". In this mode all the mobile phone's
transmission functions are deactivated; the unit cannot receive or transmit any
information. This lets you use it in situations where cell phones might be a
problem. Features like Organizer, Games, Phonebook, and Camera work
normally, and are actually faster in this mode because the microprocessor is
freed from managing transmission functions. To use the phone in PIM MODE
you need no SIM card
To reactivate the functions you temporarily disabled while using the PIM MODE,
turn the unit OFF and then ON again normally.
