4. Preliminary Cautions Before Installation

4.1 Check for Completeness

Black Bear hoists/trolleys are manufactured under strict quality control and inspection. 
Please check for following details of the hoist for completeness:
1) Hoist Body
2) Hook & Hook Holder
3) Load Chain / Hand Chain 

4.2 Check for Specification

Please check for your specifications before use.
1) Capacity (Ton), Load Chain Length, Hand Chain Length
2) Contact manufacturer immediately if the specifications differ.

4.3 Areas of Application

1) This hoist is NOT explosion-proof. The hoist is NOT to be used in environments

that are open to potential explosions. 

2) Please consult with manufacturer first if the hoist is going to be used in  

environments with high (higher than 40°C) or low (lower than -20°C) temperatures,  
or with high humidity (more than 90%), or environments that are open to chemicals   
and other particular situations. 

3) Observe temperature range. Metal parts of the hoist turn weak and could break in  

low temperatures. Consult manufacturer if your are in doubt.   

4) Do not use the hoist in high humidity environment.

Lifetime of the hoist will shorten if it is exposed to rain. If used outside, please 
protect the hoist (entire equipment) with proper covers to avoid rain.

4.4 Safety

All personnel operating the hoist/trolley should use and wear proper safety measures 
(gloves, safety shoes, safety helmet) to avoid possible danger.
