Perm Wall Installation

The Perm Wall frame should be fastened to a wall. The frame is not designed for “flying” installations.

1.  Assemble frame sections together by inserting plastic corner

brackets to tubes and securing the corners with #12 sheet
metal screws. If you have a larger jointed frame, insert steel
bracket on one section of frame into other section matching
the color code. Insert 10-32 screw through tube and bracket
and fasten with wing nut.

NOTE:

If the viewing surface is attached to the frame before

the frame is secured to the wall, the frame may bow.

2.  Place bottom of frame at desired height on wall. Make sure

bottom is level. Drill through aluminum tubing every 18" to 24"
and fasten to wall with appropriate fastener (not supplied) for
type of wall construction.

NOTE:

Use appropriate fastener for wall construction, i.e.

wood screws if wall behind frame is wood construction or
other appropriate fastener if dry wall or plaster or cement
block construction.

3.  Make sure that sides are at 90 degrees or right angle to

bottom and fasten to wall in like manner. Next fasten top of
frame to wall in the same manner, making sure that the
center is the same distance from the bottom as it is at the
sides of frame. This is most important for proper surface fit.

NOTE:

If a center spreader is shipped with frame, insert

center spreader between the bottom and the top of frame as
a guide. This is most important to insure that the top and
bottom are equal distance apart across the entire top of
frame. Lack of care in this regard will result in poor fit of
surface. Center spreader can be removed once top of frame
is fastened to the wall.

4.  Carefully snap surface onto frame. This completes

the installation.
