HOW TO DEACTIVATE YOUR SIM CARD’S PIN CODE
1.
In the idle mode, press Menu (Left Soft Key)
2.
Scroll down and select [Settings], then press [OK]
3.
Scroll down and select option 4, [Security], then press [OK]
4.
On option 1 [PIN] you can select either [Activate], [Modify] or [Off ].
5.
On option 2 [PIN2] you can enter a Pin code.
6.
Option 3 [Auto lock screen] you can choose either [Time out] or [Modify Key lock Password]
7.
Option 4 [Power-on password] you can choose either [Activate], [Modify] or [Off ].
SENDING A SMS
1.
Press Menu (Left Soft key) > Select [Messaging] > Select [Write Message].
2.
Enter your message content and press [Options] > press [Send].
3.
You can manually enter recipient number or select from Contacts.
4.
Press [OK] to send.

down and the top right
corner is the one that is
cut. Insert the SIM card
by carefully sliding it
into the silver SIM card
holder from the right.
Remove the SIM
card by pushing
down the clip on
the right. Then
carefully sliding
the SIM card out
from the left.

MAKING AND ENDING A CALL
1.
In idle mode, enter the number you want to dial and press the green Dial / Answer key.
2.
With the handset on hook the hands free call (Loud speaker) will be initiated.
3.
Pick up the handset receiver to disable the hands Free Call.
4.
During an active call, press the large speaker icon to enable hands free call.
5.
To end an active call, press the red End / Power key.
NOTE:
To receive calls make sure the headset receiver is placed on the hook, otherwise phone is seen as busy.
WHY DOES MY PHONE SAY EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY?
1.
If this is a new installation, your SIM card may not be active. This could take between 24 - 48 Hrs.
2.
Or there is no mobile service (signal) / coverage in your area.
Please phone Telkom on 081 180 to verify that your SIM card is active and that your area has coverage.
CHECK YOUR AIRTIME BALANCE
1.
In idle state of the device, enter *188# and then dial.
2.
An on-screen message will display your Airtime Balance.
CHANGE IN CALL VOLUME
Press the Up / Down key to adjust the volume
while on a call.
1.
On the home screen, press Menu (Left Soft Key) > and select [Contacts]
2.
Scroll down and select [New] > Select where you want to save the contact (SIM or phone) > press [Ok]
3.
Click [Options] > select [Modify] > Type the contact’s name & number into the fi elds provided > Press [Ok]
4.
Once you have entered the contact’s details press [Options] > and select [Save] to save your new contact.
HOW DO I ADD A CONTACT TO MY CONTACT LIST?
1.
On the home screen, press Menu (Left Soft Key) > navigate to and select [Settings]
2.
Select [Phone Settings] > scroll down and select [Shortcut dial settings]
3.
Select the M# you want to assign a number to > press [Options] > [Edit]
4.
If you know the number, enter it now > then press [Ok]
Or
if you have the contact saved, press [Contacts] > select the desired contact > press [Ok] > press [Ok] again.
