Key Type
Select
the key type for the SNMP community. Select either
Plain
Text
or
Encrypted
.
Community Name
Select
an alphanumeric string of up to 32 characters that is used to
identify members of an SNMP community. This string is used like a
password to give remote SNMP managers access to MIB objects in the
Switch’s SNMP agent.
View Name
Enter
an alphanumeric string of up to 32 characters that is used to
identify the group of MIB objects that a remote SNMP manager is
allowed access to on the Switch. The view name must exist in the
SNMP View Table.
Access Right
Select the user’s access rights from the drop-down menu:

Read Only
- SNMP community members can read the contents
of the MIBs on the Switch.
◆
Read Write
- SNMP community members can read and write the
contents of the MIBs on the Switch.

The SNMP Group page allows user to manage SNMP Groups. Access to SNMP OIDs and security policies
can be controlled on a per group basis

User-based Security Model
Select the SNMP security model.

SNMPv1 does not support any security features.

SNMPv2c -
SNMPv2 supports both centralized and distributed
network management strategies. It includes improvements in the
Structure of Management Information (SMI) and adds some
security features.
