Diagnostic Port Specifications

This section provides supplemental information that concerns diagnostic
port connections. Information on RS-232 DB-25 connectors is provided for
connections with 25-pin console devices.

RS-232 (DB9) Pin Specification

The RS-232 serial port of the hub uses a 9-pin female connector. The port
can be connected to a VT-100 terminal, a PC, or a workstation emulating a
VT-100 terminal. The figures below show the connections necessary for
connection to 9-pin and 25-pin RS-232 devices.
