Section 3 - Configuration
Access List
This section explains how to control access permissions by verifying the connecting
client PC’s IP address.
General Settings
Maximum number of concurrent streaming connection(s) limited to: Simultaneous
live viewing for 1~10 clients (including stream 1 ~ stream 5). The default value is 10.
If you modify the value and click
Save
, all current connections will be disconnected
and automatically attempt to re-link (Internet Explorer or Quick Time Player).
There are some situations which allow clients access to the live video without a user
name and password:
1. The administrator did not set up a user password. For more information about
how to set up a user password and manage user accounts, please refer to
User
Settings
on page 65.
2. The administrator has set up a user password, but set RTSP Authentication to
“disable“.
Refresh:
Click this button to refresh all current connections.
Add:
You can select entries from the Connection Status list and add them to
the Deny List to deny access. Please note that the selected connections
will only be disconnected temporarily and will automatically try to re-link again
(Internet Explorer or Quick Time Player). If you want to enable the denied list,
please select
Enable access list filtering
and click
Save
in the first column.

if you want to enable
the access list filtering function.
Filter Type
Select
Allow
or
Deny
as the filter type. If you choose Allow Type, only clients whose IP
addresses are on the Access List below can access the camera while the rest will not
have access. If you choose Deny Type, clients whose IP addresses are on the Access
List below will not be allowed to access the camera while the rest will have access.
