Set a Delivery Traffic Indication Message
setting between 1 and 255. The default value
is 1. DTIM is a countdown informing clients of
the next window for listening to broadcast and
multicast messages.
This setting determines the power level of
the wireless transmission. Transmitting power
can be adjusted to eliminate overlapping of
wireless area coverage between two access
points where interference is a major concern.
For example, if wireless coverage is intended
for half of the area, then select 50% as the
option. Use the drop-down menu to select
100%, 50%, 25%, or 12.5%.
Select
Enable
or
Disable
. Enabling this option
will help prevent bridge loops and will provide
nearby AP’s with the information needed to
reliably route the network should one of the
other devices fail.
To effectively optimize throughput over
long distance links, enter a value for
Acknowledgement Time Out from 1 to 372
microseconds in the 2.4 GHz in the field
provided.
This setting is used to specify an amount of
time the AP will wait after a collision before
retransmitting a packet. Reducing the slot
time decreases the overall back-off, which will
increase throughput.
