SUFFOCATION HAZARD
INFANTS HAVE SUFFOCATED:
y
In gaps between extra padding
and side of the bassinet/carry cot.
y
On soft bedding.
y
Use only the pad provided by
manufacturer. NEVER add a
pillow, comforter, or another
mattress for padding.
on counter tops, tables, or any
other elevated surface.

The carry cot should only
be placed on a low, dry, firm,
horizontal surface when not in use
with stroller or carry cot stand.
y
Do not use the infant carrier if it is
damaged or broken.
y
If a sheet is used with a carry cot
pad, use only the one provided
by the carry cot manufacturer or
one specifically designed to fit the
dimension of the carry cot pad.

Suffocation Hazard: Infant carrier
can roll over on soft surfaces and
suffocate child. NEVER place
carrier on beds, sofas, or other
soft surfaces.

To reduce the risk of SIDS,
pediatricians recommend healthy
infants be placed on their backs to
sleep, unless otherwise advised by
your physician.
y
Strings can cause strangulation!
Do not place a string around a
child's neck, such as hood strings
or pacifier cords. Do not suspend
strings over a bassinet or carry cot
or attach strings to toys.
