Limiting Playback for Children
(Parental Control)
Playing some DVDs can be limited depending on the age of users. The Parental Control function
allows playback limitation level to be set by the parent.
1. Press stop and then press the setup button to display the menu on the TV screen.
2. Press the /
button to highlight the PREFERENCES.
SETUP is highlighted.
3. Press the ENTER button to make this selection.
4. The subsequent menu will appear to allow the user to make a Parental Control level selection.
5. Press / the button to allow changing of the password.
6. Enter 3308 for the password and then press the ENTER button.
7. The user can change the password by following the friendly user-inferface instructions.
8. Press the SETUP button to exit the menu and then press the ENTER button.
Notes

When DVDs without the Parental Control function are played, playback cannot be limited on
this player.
l
When a password is not set, the settings for playback limitation cannot be changed.
l
Depending on the DVD, changing the parental control level while playing the disk is an option.
In this case, enter the password, then change the level.
l
If user forgot the password, input 3308 to unlock it.

Resuming Playback (Resume Play)
During play, the user can enter the DVD menu to make changes on spoken languages, subtitles,
jump to a scene, and/or for limited range of aspect ratio, For some DVD titles, the user can resume
to where play stopped previously, if this feature is provided in the DVD menu.
Notes:
l
Resume Play may not be played depending on the disk.
l
Resume Play is not available in Shuffle or Program Play mode.
l
Depending on where the disk stops, the player may resume playback from a different point.
