Zeroization 

For data security, zeroization capabilities can easily be added to the DuraCOR 80-40 system.  The 
zeroization signal can be sent to the hard drives, operating system, and other sections of the DuraCOR 
80-40. 

Refer to the pinout descriptions for CPU B pin 75 and GPIO pin 16 in Chapter 3 ("J12 CPU-B Connector 
Pinouts" and "GPIO Connector Pinouts").  The zeroization signal can be generated by connecting CPU B 
pin 75 to pin 77 sending a high signal to certain drives. 

 

The zeroization signal for Microsemi SSDs offered by Curtiss-Wright needs to have the following 
characteristics: 

Vmin: 3.3V

 

Vtyp: 5V 
Vmax: 50V 
Pulse min: 30 ms 
Pulse max: N/A 
 

For zeroization information about SSDs made by other manufacturers consult with their corresponding 
support team.
