Cleaning and handling 

 

5.1 Screen cleaning 

 

The anti reflective coated window is a delicate optical surface and must be 
handled with care.  
The windows may be cleaned using a moist lens cleaning tissue. Ensure that 
the tissue is moist, clean and free of foreign objects. Cleaning motion should 
be  from  the  centre  of  the  screen  outwards.  Stubborn  material  may  be 
removed by soaking in lens cleaning fluid.  
  

Warning:

 Impregnated cloths or cleaning fluid may be flammable.  

  

Under no circumstances should any abrasive material be used. 

 

 

 

Polish the screen so that no streaking of the cleaning fluid is visible.  

  

Typical Lens Cleaning materials: 

 

Lens cleaning cloths

sealed, single use, sachet.  
 
Computer screen wipes 

– supplied in bulk

Highest  quality  pre-moistened  lens  grade  tissue.  Cleans,  polishes  CRT 
screens,  large  optical  surfaces.  Will  not  streak  or  scratch  glass  or  coated 
plastic. Ideal for on

–site field use.
